This example, which is similar in form to the adjacent cover, has been preserved in excellent condition with all its tassels intact. Its intricate design is worked on two visual levels, with green tracery linking the floral forms together, surrounded by a lattice-work of blue tracery that curls in on itself to convey a further sense of depth. Elsewhere, floral forms are combined into what can only be described as an enchanting ensemble.
